Insects
- Holes or notches in the leaves are a sign of larger pests such as caterpillars, slugs, or other chewing insects.
- Smaller pests such as aphids and mealybugs are more difficult to see with the naked eye. A hand lens is a beneficial tool for spotting smaller insect pests on your plants.
- Check the undersides of leaves and areas where leaves meet the stems. Do this weekly to avoid infestations. Earth’s Ally 3-in-1 will control aphids, whiteflies, mealybugs, and mites safely and effectively.
Diseases
- Most plant diseases are caused by fungus or bacterial organisms. These are more difficult to diagnose. Look for a change in leaf color, shape, or a change in growth habit.
- You may see brown lesions or spots, often surrounded by a bright yellow halo at the leaf margin.
- Powdery mildew is easily recognized by a grayish white powder on the leaf.
- Other diseases are more difficult to identify. Earth’s Ally 3-in-1 will control the most common diseases taking much of the guesswork out of plant diagnosis.
